Three.js could not be loaded.

This model loads Three.js r128 from a local vendor/ folder (vendor/three.min.js, sibling or parent). No network copy is ever fetched. Keep the vendor folder next to this file. If every 3D tab shows nothing, the browser WebGL context cap is the usual cause — close other 3D tabs and check hardware acceleration.

WHAT IS REAL HERE — AND WHAT IS NOT

This page is a simulation. The honest way to add colour is to say exactly where the colour stops and the facts begin. Everything below is either true of this page itself, or explicitly marked as not published.

Schematic by design

Every object on this page is procedural, boxy geometry built in the browser: the excavator, the SE dock and operator unit, the site, the truck, the people. Machine proportions are class-typical for a tracked hydraulic excavator — they are not the dimensions of any specific OEM model, and the generic construction yellow is not any manufacturer’s livery. The work site (box cut, spoil, haul road, laydown) is an invented, generic earthmoving context, not a real project.

No dimension shown on this page is a certified engineering dimension. 1 world unit = 1 metre and the 1.8 m crew figure is true scale, so proportions read honestly — but nothing here is buildable from this page, and nothing is meant to be.

As drawn — site dimensions in this schematic

These are the drawing’s own dimensions (1 unit = 1 m), stated so the scene can be checked against itself. They are illustrative choices, not engineered values — no safety distance, cut design or boundary here is a published figure.

Pack count — this family

The actuation pack depicted for the tracked excavator family is six actuators on the six stock control interfaces listed above. That is the simulation’s depiction. A certified pack count for production hardware is not published — no certified figure exists to quote, and this page will not invent one.

The colour code — what colour means here

The palette is an argument, not decoration. These are the actual values this page paints with; none of them is any OEM’s brand colour.

COLOURMEANS
Iron yellow · #F0B323host OEM machine — untouched, always
Chassis · #2A2F33chassis, counterweight, engine deck
Steel · #9AA1A6boom, stick, cylinders — the work group
SE red · #C8102ESteady Eddie retrofit hardware ONLY — dock, Eddie, actuators, envelope, E-stop
Earth · #8A7A62native soil, spoil
Aggregate · #CABFA8haul road, granular base
Hi-vis · #E8720Ccones, vests, site markers
Warning field · #C9A227slow + announce zone (translucent)

If a part is yellow, Steady Eddie never modified it. If a part is red, Steady Eddie added it and can remove it. That rule holds in every view.

What the gate actually is, in this page

The AUTHORIZE hold is implemented as a hard clamp in the timeline code: the playhead cannot pass the gate — by playing, scrubbing, or seeking — until a human clicks AUTHORIZE or explicitly declines. It is a toy model of the real gate, but the property it demonstrates is the real property: upgrade waits for a named human decision; downgrade (REVOKE) executes the same instant it is asked for, with no gate at all.

Not simulated, not claimed

No hydraulics, loads, soil mechanics, cycle times, payloads, fuel burn or productivity figures are modelled or claimed anywhere on this page. The stop-field and warning-field radii, the geofence, and the crew exclusion zone in the overwatch view are illustrative envelope concepts — their dimensions are not published safety distances. Where a number is not published, this page says so instead of inventing one.

A class-accurate schematic excavator, then the full Steady Eddie deployment sequence. Dock installs once and stays. Eddie deploys when required and is removed when not. The mode ladder climbs only through a human authorization gate; downgrade is instant.

DOCK STAYS. EDDIE MOVES.

The machine is back to human-only — same controls, same machine. The dock waits, empty, for the next deployment. Higher modes SE-2…SE-5 stay locked: each requires validation and a fresh human authorization.
